About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director to lead the Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) Cloud and Security Architecture organization, an organization within Enterprise and EFT Architecture. The Director will help drive cloud migration and quality engineering of more than 300 EFT applications, primarily to Azure. In this role, you will: Manage a team of architects and lead the team to achieve objectives Work closely with application engineering teams and platform support teams to design and execute actionable application migration plans With cloud enterprise architects and engineers, design plans and controls for secure and efficient use of Azure and GCP services at scale Champion cloud engineering best practices and non-functional requirements, including focus on stability and reliability engineering Build support through influence for strategies with business and technology leaders Collaborate with and serve as a cloud architecture advisor to all levels of other professionals, including executive management Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy Required Qualifications: 8 years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4 years of Management experience 5 years of experience supporting enterprise-level complex applications and platforms in production 5 years of experience with Cloud technologies, service offerings, including automation, orchestration, controls, and trends and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings 5 years of designing and building complex observability solutions leveraging industry standard toolset and/or custom-built solutions 2 years of experience with Site Reliability engineering principles, including implementation and governance 2 years of experience in providing thought-leadership, expertise to formulate and execute on major strategies to develop/deliver robust and scalable solutions Desired Qualifications: Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a complex environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrixed structure Ability to develop and execute business vision, strategies, and goals Ability to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevant in a highly complex environment A master's degree or higher in computer science or engineering. Cloud certification for Azure or Google Cloud Platform Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis Knowledge and understanding of complex enterprise systems and frameworks including frontends, middleware, services layer, database, backend, and downstream interfaces Job Expectations: Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening (This position offers a hybrid work schedule) Relocation assistance is not available for this position Locations: 300 S.
