Description
For the Pricing & Data Specialist role, you will be working with the business units, supply chain, engineering, and
others, provide item pricing for (primarily) Visibility customer quotes and orders as requested following the established pricing process and tools. Work with Analytics in evaluating standard and customer specific price books/price lists. Work with Analytics to improve quote hit rates and maximize overall gross margins.
Improve the integrity, consistency, and usefulness of the established pricing guidelines.
Perform customer data maintenance in Visibility, Oracle, and for other business tools assigned.
Seek opportunities for continuous process improvement and/or opportunities for automated tools to assist and improve the pricing and data maintenance process whenever possible. Professional advancement and training opportunities available.
A Pricing and Data Specialist must be able to work independently.
Duties:
•Work with business units quarterly for review and update on multiple prices lists.
•Working within the Visibility /PLM Quote and Sales Order system.
•Receive input requests from Customer Service Representatives (CSR) who receive and enter the Quotes and Sales orders in the Visibility/PLM system.
•Use other data tools as needed (Data Warehouse, RPQO, Power BI, Excel, etc.) to price items.
•Follow all documented steps in a time-appropriate way (Priority 1,2,3 tasks)
•Work with Analytics and others as needed to update price lists and pricing guidelines.
•Refine internal and external reporting in support of business development initiatives such as the B&W Rewards Customer Loyalty Program.
•Perform customer data maintenance as required, insuring database integrity.
•Complete all audit documentation as required.
•And all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•Must have experience in relational databases and EBS/ERP systems; Oracle or Vis experience a plus
•Must be able to prioritize tasks so that the pricing and data maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner.
•Proactive thinking is imperative; must have the ability to independently work on requests or issues that arise.
•Must have excellent communication, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills for communications with management and others within and outside the department
•Proficient using Internet and Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
•Critical thinking skills
•Experience using Visibility or Oracle Software is plus
•Pricing experience a plus
•Customer Service / inside sales / purchasing / related experience with product or service fulfilment a plus
