Bachoco USA is seeking a Production Superintendent 2nd shift for our Fort Smith, AR facility.
Summary: Ensures all company specifications are followed. Ensures correct quantity of product is produced to meet requirements. Ensures that product is produced with a high standard of quality. Schedules proper products as needed. Makes sure that supervisors work with and train employees to ensure they are getting the best yield and quality of the product. Follow all USDA and in-plant rules
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Three or more years of management experience in portioning processing.
• Familiarity with JBT portioning equipment and processes.
• Keeps plant management informed of any production, maintenance, supply, or logistics problems.
• Train employees.
• Ensure that all employees are following safety guidelines.
• Has knowledge of company payroll procedures.
• Evaluates line performance to ensure we achieve most economical process and maintain a high standard of quality.
• Understands company specifications on all products and proper operating in a safe and quality environment to achieve goals of the line performance.
• Performs all other assigned duties as necessary.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages five subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 250 employees in Reed Lane. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A,B.S,B.ENg) from a four-year college or university'or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Inventory software; Payroll systems; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
