SEASONAL WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / MERCHANDISE PROCESSOR I***This is a seasonal position. We only have fulltime shifts available*** AVAILABLE SHIFTS & PAY:Morning Shift:Evening Shift:Weekend Shift:Monday - Friday6:00am - 2:30pm$16.00/hr.Monday - Friday2:30pm - 11:00pm$17.85/hr.($16.00/hr. $1.85/hr. shift differential)Saturday - Monday8:00am - 8:30pm$18.00/hr.($16.00/hr. $2.00/hr. shift differential) SEASONAL POSITION INFORMATION: This is a seasonal position, the length of seasonal employment is dependent on business demand and typically runs 3-6 months, however, a minimum timeframe cannot be guaranteed. Yes! We do often convert our high-performing seasonal gearheads to regular status, these decisions are based on business demands and performance. Seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits; however, you do get to participate in our employee discount perk and it's a good one! BLACKOUT DATES AND HOLIDAY INFORMATION: Our warehouse will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day; and we typically work shorter hours on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. To support our busiest season, our Backcountry fulfillment centers have a blackout period for time off requests. The blackout period is typically from November 14th through December 23rd. During this blackout period, time off requests cannot be approved. OVERTIME: When volume and business demands permit, we will post weekly schedules with overtime. When/if we have a need for employees to work overtime, the AM Shift is usually scheduled to start their shift1-hour before normal shift times, the PM Shift is usually scheduled to end their shift 1-hour after normal shift times, and the Weekend Shift is usually scheduled an extra day since they already work 10- and 12-hour shifts. If you are fast on your feet, and love handling all the cool gear we sell from the time it enters our doors to the time it leaves, this job could be for you…consider it more like pre shopping and less like work!ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Stand and walk for your entire shift Read and Audit Labels Identify, count, and sort packages and inventory with a high level of accuracy Understand and differentiate between shipping methods and sort packages accordingly Use automated packaging equipment Participate in team meetings, follow guidance, and provide feedback as appropriate Maintain a clean workspace Fixing problems that occur to ensure inventory and/or shipping accuracyResolving inventory issues by adjusting inventoryPerform other duties as assigned Participate in LEAN initiativesQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Prefer high school diploma or equivalencyVerbal and written comprehension of the English language requiredFundamental math skills requiredMust be able to apply established procedures and follow oral/written instructionsMust be able to work independently without direct supervision and organize/prioritize workload to ensure completion of all tasks within established time framesComputer skills, including familiarity with the internet and email requiredExperience operating power industrial equipment (for example, standing order picker or forklift) PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
