**Position Summary**

Bring your strong embedded software and design experience, technical expertise and background leading projects and mentoring engineers to this _Software Engineer, Technical Lead_ position where you will provide technical leadership, and guidance while leading engineering teams developing new technology and solutions that provide our customers with a competitive advantage. This is a handson" technicalposition where you will play a key role in technical development of our engineering team.

**As a Software Engineer, Technical Lead you will make impacts in the following ways;**

_Provides engineering functional leadership including managing and monitoring the performance and professional growth of individual_ _contributors._

_Perform detailed software technical design, development, integration and test tasks in a formal software development activity_ _._

_Assigning, directing, and evaluating technical tasks_

_Provide guidance, support, and coaching to the functional group through regular employee one on ones_ _and perform_ _annual employee performance_ _reviews._

_Identify and develop critical skills that align with business_ _objectives._

_Partner and collaborate with program managers, project_ _engineers, and_ _other functional managers to ensure program goals, requirements, and needs are understood and_ _achieved._

_Ensure engineering efforts are planned and executed in accordance with company policies, procedures, processes, and best_ _practices._

_Perform technical design, development and integration tasks as_ _required._

_This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work and will take the form of a hybrid work schedule, with time split between working onsite and remotely._

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

The following education, skills and experiences are required in order to be considered for the role.

BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering related discipline and 10 or more years of relevant work experience

Minimum of two years of experience in a Technical Lead and or Manager in Software leading groups of eight or more engineers

Experience in embedded computing software design with multiple serial, digital and discrete interfaces in a real time operating system environment

People management experience with proven performance management including mentoring, coaching, motivation and communication skills.

Successful engineering project experience encompassing technical, cost, schedule and quality topics

Experience across the formal design, development, integration and test phases of a project including generating detailed artifacts and performing gate reviews.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

The below experiences and skills are preferred but NOT required to be qualified for this position.

6-10 years of flight controls engineering design, development, integration and test

Experience with IR&D development

Experience with Earned Value Management and Risk/Opportunity Management

Experience with transitioning designs to full production programs

Experience leading engineering teams of fifteen or more

Experience leading safety critical projects with experience in DO-178

Experience leading a multi-site project teams

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $124200 - $211100

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
