As a Senior Linux System Administrator, you will be managing and developing systems on a global scale to help the Aviation industry move undisrupted. You will be responsible for the messaging data in transit to ensure the on-time arrival for you, your friends and families, and all passengers flying around the globe. The systems you will manage support over 1,500 aviation customers, transmitting over 75 million messages daily across the Aviation community. What YOU will do:
•YOU will be responsible for sustaining and maintaining our core servers Linux within a Bare Metal infrastructure on-premises. On-site duties include racking devices, cabling, and deploying new systems in multiple data centers.
•YOU will help the team deploy and maintain the rollout of the next generation of products and services and transition customers to the new platforms.
•YOU will support the global data centers (installs, upgrades, configure, test, support system software, and security audits of hardware) and instill customer confidence in our products.
•YOU will monitor and respond to everyday issues and problems and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support the Software Development Team by administrating team tools and processes.
•YOU will keep up with the demands and tech debts of the existing infrastructure as we move to the new and advanced infrastructure.

Education & Experience:
•Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience

Skills You Must Have:
•Understanding of the Linux CLI, debugging tools, and network stack.
•Knowledge of core networking, subnetting, firewalls, and routing.
•Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
•Ability to work independently in an international, cross-functional team environment, including occasional off-hours tasks and meetings.
•Administration of Multiple Linux distros such as RHEL and Ubuntu.
•Support and have a strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, MetalLB, haproxy, Harbor, Calico and Kubespray
•Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Skills We Value:
•Proficiency in configuration, troubleshooting, installation, operation, maintenance, and system administration of Multiple Linux distros such as RHEL and Ubuntu.
•Ability to create shell programs and utility script (Ansibles).
•Experience working with Configuration Management Systems (git in particular).
•Experience with storage appliances with a focus on NAS and ISCSI protocols.
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and successfully handle competing deadlines.
•Experience Solaris and ZFS
•Experience with IBM MQ
