Job Description
This is a part-time, temporary position supporting the Identification Systems Team located in California, MD and would be a great opportunity for a college student seeking work experience.
The selected candidate will:
Monitor email requests for travel assistance.
Provide and research travel options within budget and contract restraints
Make travel arrangements.
Track travel and itinerary changes.
Track travel expenses and build expense reports.
Perform data entry of travel information into various database systems.
Organize and manage files and data in a web-based SharePoint environment
Check documentation and internal notes for accuracy
Other duties as assigned or required
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $19.55.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School diploma
Excellent attention to detail and strong computer skills
Ability to communicate professionally via email and phone
Proficient organization skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Some administrative and/or travel experience
Experience using Microsoft Excel
Some college-level coursework in a business discipline
Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance. You may be eligible to receive a cash payment in lieu of certain benefits. Any such payments would be governed by the contract(s) on which you work, a Department of Labor Wage Determination, and your work schedule.
