Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team at Hill AFB, UT for an exciting opportunity supporting the acquisition of the Sentinel system to replace MM III.
The Information Technology Specialist will serve as Information System Security Officer (ISSO), ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified information systems, networks and data through the enhancement of Department of Defense (DoD) information systems security programs, policies, procedures and tools. Serves as a technical expert and focal point for Information Technology (IT) security and information assurance policies, planning, programs, initiatives, certification and accreditation. Provides advice and assistance regarding security aspects of processing, storage, retrieval, transmission, and access of classified and unclassified information. Analyzes equipment and software reliability and suitability for vulnerability assessment utilization. Conducts analyses of classified network usage, hardware and software capabilities, ineffective practices or procedures, equipment shortcomings, and other relevant factors. Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments of DoD classified information systems to identify associated vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs.
  • Serve as the Sentinel JWICS ISSO, supporting actions carried out by the Hill AFB JWICS ISSM for Sentinel
  • Communicate directly with AFLCMC/INLU, AFMC/A2S, and the JWICS Enterprise Center
  • Reviews all Sentinel JWICS requirements and consults with NXI, NXZ, AFLCMC/INU, and AFMC/A2S before submitting for consideration to the Risk Review Board
  • Follows policies and procedures related to SCRM, ensuring all Risk Review Board and JWICS Enterprise policies are followed
  • Works directly with NXZ, contracting, and procurement to ensure all equipment is ordered in accordance with JWICS Enterprise policies and procedures
  • Ensures JWICS IP allocations are appropriately scoped, in consultation with NXI and NXOS, and forward to the Risk Review Board
  • Develops/implements an annual training and awareness curriculum for Sentinel JWICS authorized/privileged users to maintain system accesses
  • Perform Customer Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities for Sentinel JWICS Users within AOR
  • Develops and maintains IT security documentation, including security plan, risk assessment, incident response plan and contingency operations for Sentinel JWICS
  • Performs, documents, and advises on security audits, evaluations, and risk assessments for all systems and facilities containing Sentinel JWICS
  • Responsible for ensuring tasks from government customer are properly assigned, monitored, and completed on schedule using a Confluence/JIRA workspace
  • Performing various other duties as assigned by senior management
This position is located at 6008 Wardleigh Rd, Bldg. 1580, Hill Air Force Base, UT 84056.
Please note, pursuant to Government contract, this position requires ship.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 10 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant experience with Master's degree.
  • Must be able to maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance and all special program accesses. The criteria for obtaining a security clearance is set by the US Government.
  • Able to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, and organize daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) commensurate with expected mid- to senior-level civilian and military participants from various U.S. Government agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Must possess an active top secret clearance or above, adjudicated within the past 6 years.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Preferred Bachelors degree in Cyber arena.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years and ability to obtain and maintain special program accesses. The criteria for obtaining a security clearance is set by the US Government.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $100530 - $170910
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
