Baker Auto Group is Hiring an Automotive Parts Manager Near Big Rapids, MI
Baker Auto Group is one of the region's premier auto groups, serving communities throughout western Michigan. We currently have a terrific opportunity for a qualified Parts Professional at our Chevrolet GMC Buick store in Big Rapids, MI. The Parts Manager role is an essential member of our parts & service team ensuring the right parts get to the right place at the right time. This is a full-time, salaried position with performance bonus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Right Part, Right Place, Right Time. You understand the absolute necessity of our Technician team repairing vehicles and not waiting on parts. You strive to deliver the highest fill rate possible from your department.
- Inventory Health. You maintain high inventory turns and low obsolescence. You keep the store RIM compliant and stay on top of returns. Cycle counting and managing special order parts are essential processes for success.
- Parts & Service Growth. You work with the service team to stay in tune with the local market and ensure our pricing is competitive. You assist with promotions and specials to attract new business.
- Department Profitability. You keep operating expenses in line with sales volumes. You eliminate areas of waste and institute savings to grow the bottom line.
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance. You ensure the department maintains certifications and adheres to procedures that are compliant with company, factory and government policy and regulations.
- M-F 7:30a.m.-5:30p.m.
- No Saturdays!
- Paid Time Off
- 5 years of experience in the retail automotive service and parts business
- Direct experience working a parts counter and managing a parts inventory
- Experience with the GM brand and CDK management system are strong pluses
- A current valid driver’s license and insurability rating is required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
