The Sr Controls Engineer role supports all SPS&S technical processes for onshore and offshore execution related to Company equipment and specifically covers the subsea controls discipline related to the execution of design/modification of existing and new system and equipment both internally and towards suppliers & interact/communicating with customers as & when needed.
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Acting as a technical responsible for equipment layout and definition from concept phase detail engineering and execution phases of a services scope of work (upgrades/refurbs/maintenance / new builds), interfacing across different regions and disciplines when required.
  • Defining subsea controls engineering requirements to projects, participating in project calls or in-person support for KOM (Kick Off Meeting), design reviews & drawings release.
  • Interpret requirements and industry standards and translate them into a company Controls engineering strategy.
  • Supporting FAT, EFAT, SIT and commissioning - both onsite and offsite.
  • Driving risk reviews for integration of new or replacement components, from design implementation to field deployment.
  • Providing technical support and collaborate within the Engineering Team, other support functions such as Sourcing, Quality, Project Management, workshop and field engineers / technicians.
  • Being the main focal point for technical discussion with clients proposing technical solutions to their needs/challenges.
  • Supporting offshore operations and issues troubleshooting.
  • Provide expertise and architectural assistance to other personnel, including System Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers.

To be successful in this role, you will:
  • BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline from an accredited college or institution.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience demonstrating solid knowledge of Subsea Production Controls Systems, Subsea Controls Module (SCM), Subsea Master Control Station (MCS), and related equipment.
  • Displaying a learning attitude for engineering leadership within a multi-disciplinary environment, including project planning, executing, customer interfacing, and close-out.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of system mindset from genesis to development, integration, and acceptance. Being able to synthesize information, identify problems, establish facts and deduce solutions.
  • Show solid interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, in English. Demonstrating leadership skills accountability.
  • Have knowledge of HSE requirements and the ability to follow policies and procedures and awareness of industry standards.
  • Have experience with API and ISO standards related to subsea/well disciplines.
