Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, located in Bakersfield, California, is an acute psychiatric and behavioral 90 bed facility situated on 8.8 acres.
We offer inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults needing mental/behavioral health, chemical dependency; and co-occurring disorders treatment through our medically supervised detoxification.

Though we do need to meet some minimum requirements for the position such as a High School Diploma, a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of similar experience, we're really looking for people who bring their HEART to work.
If you have previous experience in a hospital environment where your attention was focused on growing the business by building relationships with other healthcare partners and community referral partners, your application to this position will be moved to the shortlist of candidates.
This position is 100% Responsible for the Growth Business Unit of our operations at Bakersfield Behavioral Hospital. The Director of Business Development will generate business growth for the hospital by growing its revenue, finding and developing new business opportunities, and expanding the overall reach of the services we have to offer. The Director will oversee the entire client-relationship management function, sales, and partnerships. They will drive new business to the hospital by building relationships with the community and referral sources that make sense for the hospital's future.
NOTE :
This is not simply a marketing/advertising/promotions kind of position. The primary purpose of this role is to generate revenue for the hospital by building relationships with the community, community partners, and referral sources.
You will be tasked with very specific revenue targets and the relationships you form with referral sources and the community will be measured based on those targets.
The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 per year.
Requirements
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Development, Business Growth, Sales, Marketing, or other related field and/or equivalent experience and education.
Minimum Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development.
