Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for inspecting and testing products to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards. The technician will work closely with production teams to identify defects, troubleshoot problems, and implement quality systems improvements.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Verifying lot code tracking
Create, evaluate, and take corrective action regarding labeling.
Training employees on quality standards and procedures.
Ensuring that products comply with industry standards.
Support QA Manager in HACCP, GMP, SOP compliance.
Monitor and document applicable HACCP, GMP and SOP requirements.
Safety and Quality minded.
Conduct inspections and tests on products for quality assurance.
Review production processes to identify areas of potential defects.
Work with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and recommend solutions.
Conduct audits of production processes, equipment, and tooling
Maintain accurate records of product quality data and inspection results.
Collaborate with product development teams to ensure new products meet quality requirements.
Monitor and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
Provide training to production teams on quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree in a relevant technical field preferred
2 years of experience in a quality assurance role in a manufacturing environment or food industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of quality inspection methods and procedures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with quality control systems and software
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
1 - 2 years’ experience in food related manufacturing facility. Quality Control experience in a food manufacturing facility
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to visually identify and distinguish colors.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with business needs.
