ThePosition

TheADMISSIONS SPECIALIST will be responsible for the admissionsprocess for prospective clients from initial inquiry through to themoment each client starts in one of our programs.

He / she willmanage all tasks related to program admits including initialconsultation with clients and their families ongoing outreach toclients contemplating treatment program orientation andcontributing to the fulfillment of programcensus.

Responsibilities :

• Schedule and conduct initialintake assessments
• Manage program inquiries trackprospective clients from initial call to programadmit
• Make and deliver recommendationsto prospective clients
• Effectively communicate withclients and their families / friends and other referral sources inorder to expedite the admissions process and verify admissionscriteria
• Explain financial obligations toclients upon admission and manage financial documents related toprogram
• Work with Admissions Director toassign new clients a treatment team during their stay and makeoutpatient referrals asnecessary
• Attend staff meetings and keepthe team aware of upcoming admits through casepresentations
• Input client information intofacility database oversee creation of client chart and manage chartas needed until admit
• Being on call several nights aweek

• Ability to organize prioritizeand multitask
• Ability to support AdmissionsDirector
• Knowledge of eating disorders andeating disorder treatment aPLUS
• Lived experience with eatingdisorders a PLUS
• Experience with working in themental health field either in a clinical or admissionsrelated rolepreferred
