Job Title: Foreman

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Competent, Skilled and Experienced Construction Foreman to coordinate and oversee workers at Construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating employees at the construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The Foreman will work closely with the Superintendent/Director of Operations. Manage quality control processes and Training and Safety processes.

A Construction Foreman needs to have a solid background in the field. Your leadership and Communication skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Duties:

  • Coordinating daily, weekly, monthly, tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel.
  • Delegating and allocating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
  • Recruiting, Training, Managing and Mentoring employees and contractors.
  • Maintain jobsite schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
  • Document and Implement trainings.
  • Monitor job expenditures and ensure it remains within budget.
  • Ensure Quality Standards on each managed jobsite.
  • Providing adequate resources and ensure manpower to meet project schedules, deadlines, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs.
  • Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, hardhats, and procedures.
  • Resolving Conflicts, Miscommunications and Re-work quickly and amicably within a specific timeframe.
  • Regularly communicating and reporting job progress/status to the Superintendent and/or the Director of Operations.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications.
  • Must keep track of materials on site. If more materials are needed, you must let the shop know in advance.
  • Inspect materials before they leave the shop to ensure damaged and/or scratched materials do not being used.
  • Must keep track of all hours while on a job.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Foreman or similar role in the construction industry
- Familiarity with tools, equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong understanding of quality control processes
- Knowledge of Architectural Sheet Metal & Carpentry Construction is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
