Job Title:
Physical Therapist
General Job Summary:As a Physical Therapist at Baldwin Bone and Joint, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic programs to help patients regain physical function, improve mobility, and manage pain. Your expertise will contribute to the overall recovery and well-being of our patients.
Reports To: Administrator, Physicians and PT Director
Supervises: N/A
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions to diagnose issues and develop treatment plans.
· Provide effective and safe physical therapy treatments tailored to individual patient needs.
· Educate patients and their families on ongoing treatment, exercises, and lifestyle adjustments.
· Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
· Maintain up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
· Stay current with advancements in physical therapy techniques and healthcare trends.
· Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Education:Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Experience: At least one year of experience preferred.
Licensure Requirements:Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist
Knowledge:
· Strong understanding of outpatient orthopedic conditions.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
· Compassionate, patient-centric approach with a commitment to high-quality care.
· Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in outpatient PT setting
Skills:
· Able to work independently while closely coordinating with clinical staff
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills
· Strong ability to build rapport with patients
Abilities:
· Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
· Ability to use initiative and independent judgement
· Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-pace environment
Equipment Operated: Various types of MR imaging equipment.
Work Environment: Employee will have frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a Physical Therapist such as standing up to 90 percent of the day, stooping, bending to assist patients, handling files and supplies, and mobility to complete and oversee patient therapy.

Positions with Baldwin Bone and Joint, PC also require employees to comply with internal policies and procedures designed to allow full compliance by the individual and the Company. These policies, procedures and protocols include physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect and control access to PHI in accordance with Federal regulations. Under current laws, individuals and the Company are subject to specified sanctions, varied penalties and certain levels of fines for non-compliance, each dependent upon the investigated circumstances.
