WHAT WE NEED
The Forklift Operator is vital to the success of our production and warehouse functions. A successful individual will be able to operate warehouse equipment, ensure proper receipt, shipment, storage, and delivery of finished or raw product, desire to learn, ability to follow clearly written instructions, and willingness to grow and develop in the manufacturing field. Strong communication skills and team player attitude is a must.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required Education/Experience:
•High School Diploma or GED;
•Ability to apply computer and communication skills and math functions;
•Ability to use hand tools (RF scanner guns);
•Previous experience operating forklift in a fast paced environment;
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather, skid resistant work shoes/boots;
• Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions and reasoning;
• Ability to use various hand tools (RF scanner gun);

• A continuous learning, and improvement, mindset is a must; there are many opportunities to learn and develop at BRF, but the individual needs to be motivated to engage in those opportunities.
• Effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Willingness to offer suggestions on ways to improve assigned work.

• English fluency required to successfully speak, read, write, and comprehend and give directions in English and communicate with other employees in English as part of regular job duties.
• Constant exposure to extreme loud noises; high places and near moving mechanical parts; standing and moving by foot; extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment;
• Frequent lifting/carrying < 50 pounds, reaching and use of fingers.
• Frequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending.
• Potential exposure to caustic chemicals.

At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
The base pay for this role is $19.67/hr. with a $1.00/hr. shift differential for night shift.
