Summary: As a Level I Technician, you will work side by side our existing team while familiarizing yourself with the equipment and standards of quality within the organization in order to grow in your career as a Heavy Equipment Technician. This position will perform minor equipment repairs, conduct initial inspections of equipment, all aspects of preventative maintenance, and other duties as needed. Job Duties:
Perform routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
Learn and perform basic repairs through hands-on learning and guidance.
Perform routine maintenance and light repairs on all equipment under direct supervision.
Conduct any fluid changes, lubrication of equipment, tire/track replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and various other duties.
Training can include hands-on and online training as well as performing tasks learned
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and/or pursuing technical degree or certification
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment
Self- motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency
