Balfour Beatty in Austin, Texas is seeking a Project Accountant. The Project Accountant is the accounting and administrative support for construction projects from start-up through final closeout. Serves as the liaison between the job site and the finance department, ensuring all accounting standard operating procedures are followed at the job site. Performs activities related to contracts, bonds, insurance, payables, liens, billings, and payroll/cost/budget reports for the job site management team.

  • Develops and analyzes value management analysis options

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year or more of book-keeping, accounting, or accounts payable-receivables experience.
  • Proficiency in basic accounting principles.
  • Proficient using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).

Preferred Experience

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
  • A/E/C industry experience helpful, but, not needed.
  • 2 years or more of book-keeping, accounting, or accounts payable-receivables experience.
  • Local qualified candidate preferred, but not required.
