What will you do in this role:

• Partner with our licensed nurses to provide the highest quality of care and service to our residents.
• Provide essential nursing care that involves assistance with resident’s daily living needs while supporting their emotional wellbeing
• Under the supervision of the Director, develops a written recreation plan of care for each resident
• Adhere to and reinforce proper infection control measures
• Partner with Life Enrichment to provide companionship, stimulation and engagement to each resident
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks
• Perform departmental organizational tasks such as documentation in PCC & Life Loop, organization of medical supplies, carts and medical storage areas
• QMAPS pass medication to residents under the supervision of a nurse following state guidelines
• QMAPS responsible for medication management tasks which may include, ordering medications and storage

You have:

• A talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members
• The ability to provide a high level of compassion and care for our elderly residents
• The ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and adhere to all HIPPA regulations
• The ability to read, write and communicate in English
• QMAPs must have QMAP current certification from the State of Colorado

You might also have:

• Experience as a care partner for the elderly and memory impaired
• Customer service experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• The ability to walk the duration of your shift
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• The ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs. of resistance
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
• May be exposed to unpleasant odors, contagious diseases and blood borne pathogens
• Balfour is a pet-friendly community; you may be exposed to animal hair and dander
