Dental Front Desk 

Treatment Coordination and Insurance

Summary:

Exceptional Dental is looking for positive personalities to help with all front desk tasks including scheduling, insurance verification, and reviewing treatment plans with patients.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer, screen and forward calls providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments.
  • Scan documents such as referrals, new patient paperwork, and record releases into patient’s chart
  • Collect mail, messages and courier deliveries.
  • Submit all patient insurance claims and follow up as needed. 
  •  Identify and work on rejected claims.
  • Handle requests for additional information from insurance companies.
  • Work on the Medical Aging Report.
  • Make courtesy calls for treatment follow-up.
  • Review treatment plans and financing options with patients. 
  • Monitor schedule and patients who are waiting in reception area; notify appropriate staff of patient arrival and when there has been a delay in patient seating for appointment. 
  • Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
  • Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.
  • Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.

Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma.
  • One Year Office experience preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting 80%
  • Standing/walking 20%
  • Medical, office, and lab setting.
  • Hearing – Must be able to hear telephonic equipment and comfortably communicate with Patients and others by telephone and in person.
  • Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for business software, and operating office machines.
