Position Overview:

This role is for an eager and ambitious budding leader who aspires to be the Chief Operating Officer of a technology company one day. If you love turning chaos into streamlined systems, enjoy working across organizations disciplines from product to marketing to finance and are looking for a breakout moment in your career—then you should apply. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, ambitious, and highly organized Director of Operations to oversee and enhance our operational efficiency across the company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in streamlining processes and transforming chaotic processes (too honest?) into well-ordered systems. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be instrumental in ensuring key initiatives are delivered on time and meet their objectives from financial analysis to go to market plans. This role will be a crash course in what it’s like to operate a nimble, fluid and fast paced company, where you’ll work closely with senior executives, from the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, to other members of our invigorated, talented leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy: You’ll become the pace setter, working hand-in-hand with our Chief Executive Officer to ensure that the company maintains momentum and throughput in terms of building enterprise value and delivering software to our customers at a motivated pace and high-quality level. 
  • Storytelling ability and narrative building: you must be good at building a presentation that tells a compelling story leveraging data and analytics to bring your audience along.
  • Operational Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies and systems to improve efficiency and scalability in alignment with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Initiative Management: Ensure all strategic initiatives across finance, operations, product management, and go-to-market campaigns are delivered against established timelines and meet their goals.
  • Finance Initiatives: Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring financial performance to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Operations Management: Optimize internal operations, streamline workflows, and enhance processes to support efficient and scalable growth.
  • Product Management Initiatives: Collaborate with product teams to ensure seamless execution of product development projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Go-to-Market Campaigns: Manage and coordinate go-to-market strategies and campaigns for new product launches, ensuring alignment with marketing, sales, and operational goals.
  • Project Management: Oversee key projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently manage resources, including personnel and budgets, to optimize productivity and support business growth.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem Solving & Jack of All Trades: Address operational challenges proactively, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain operational stability. You will be tasked with analyzing key areas of the business, crafting creative solutions, while continuously helping the company do more with less.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a software technology startup or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Qualities and characteristics: you are linear thinker, a crisp and clear, written and verbal communicator. You’re comfortable being assertive while maintaining respect for your peers. You think objectively about how to ensure business success.
  • Skills: Proven track record of streamlining systems, managing complex projects, and delivering on financial, operational, product management, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a startup environment, with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Organizational Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills, with a knack for turning chaos into order and driving efficiency.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.. Frankly, our founder and CEO is a college dropout so if you fit the bill and didn’t go to college, then you should definitely apply.
