Radiology Manager leads and manages the daily operations of the molecular imaging clinic. Manages all day-to-day operations including the delivery of care, human resource management, equipment oversight, financial management, and performance improvement activities. Participates as an important member of the management team to address and resolve broad management/administrative issues such as procedure coding and revenue capture, cost monitoring and control, patient scheduling, patient and staff safety, workflows, operational monitoring, regulatory compliance, and the overall timeliness and quality of services provided to customers in assigned sections and across the molecular imaging clinic. Consults and collaborates with other members of BAMF Health leadership team and Radiology Medical Director to ensure the effective integration of strategic objectives, performance management, quality and improvement and technological performance.
Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Provide leadership, guidance, feedback, support, and supervision to NM, MRI, and CT technologists, ensuring adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
Operational Management:
- Coordinate the scheduling of NM, MR, and CT staff and procedures, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely patient care delivery.
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering to support uninterrupted departmental operations.
- Collaborate with other departmental leaders to optimize workflow, streamline processes, and enhance patient care coordination.
- Update and/or write new policies and procedures to support new programs, which are reviewed and approved by appropriate committees before implementation.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and safety of NM, MR, and CT procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including ACR and IAC), radiation safety standards, and accreditation guidelines, maintaining necessary documentation and records.
Staff Training and Development:
- Coordinate training of new staff technologists, maintain staff competency and coordinate the training necessary to keep technical staff current with the latest technological advances. Ensure completion of annual competencies and radiation safety. Maintain training records.
Patient Care and Safety:
- Ensure that NM, MR, and CT procedures are performed with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and privacy. Address patient concerns, questions, and needs, and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care outcomes.
Equipment and Technology Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and proper functioning of NM, MRI, and CT imaging equipment and associated technology. Evaluate new technologies and equipment upgrades, making recommendations for procurement and implementation as needed.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate interdisciplinary care delivery and treatment planning. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and committees to support patient care coordination and clinical decision-making.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate of Science Degree required
  • 3 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience required
  • 3 years prior leadership experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • NMTCB CNMT/ARRT (N) required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years prior leadership experience preferred
  • PET Certification preferred
  • Certified Radiology Manager (CRA) preferred
Schedule Details:
  • Employment Status: Full time (1.0FTE)
  • Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40
  • Hours of work: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Days worked: Monday - Friday
