In January of 2020, the school unveiled a 5-year strategic plan, BluePrint125— a product of extensive internal investigation and collaborative discussion among the School’s many constituents. In recent years, the School has made significant investments in campus enhancements to improve energy efficiency, air quality, and public safety; and create flexible, multi-functional spaces in the school buildings, music wing of the Performing Arts Center, and new Field House.
Position SummaryBancroft School is currently seeking Independent Contract Orton-Gillingham certified and trained tutors for our Hope Graham Program. Building upon Bancroft’s commitment to nurture, respect, and educate diverse learners, the Hope Graham Program at Bancroft School is designed for students with diagnosed language-based learning differences in grades 2-8.
Orton-Gillingham tutors are contracted to provide direct tutoring services, as independent contractors, to students during regular school hours. The primary function of an HGP Orton-Gillingham Tutor is to work directly with students. Some additional responsibilities are expected including preparation for services, planning lessons, and reporting on student progress. Hours are flexible and are arranged based on agreement between the Program Director and the Contracted Tutor. Candidates must be Orton-Gillingham Certified and have experience working in a school-based setting. Please do not apply without Orton-Gillingham Certification.
