The Manager, Analytics and AI Risk, as part of the second line of defense in Operational Non-Financial Risk, will be responsible supporting the Data, Analytics, and AI Risk team in the oversight of Artificial Intelligence (AI) risk, and ensuring that use cases are consistent with internal risk management frameworks and meet bank standards. The role will support the intake of new AI use cases and triage for appropriate treatment under different risk frameworks. Specifically, the role will support: Execute procedures and testing protocols to identify incremental AI risk in new use cases being proposed or being onboarded through new products or supplier engagements. Escalate material risks or issues to management for action. Support the ongoing execution of the Responsible AI and Data Ethics (RAIDE) Forum by participating in meetings, documentation minutes, and monitoring follow-up actions. Participate in the ongoing improvement and maintenance of the 2nd line of defense Analytics Risk Directive and AI Risk Directive ensuring alignment among key stakeholders and with Operational Non-Financial Risk programs. Establish ongoing monitoring process to confirm the ongoing completeness and accuracy of the AI inventory of tools working closely with other risk functions. Provide input into quarterly senior management reporting on AI risks and execute internal procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting. Adjust internal procedures and protocols to align with evolving regulatory expectations and changes to frameworks. Support management in preparation for internal and external review on AI Risk including from internal audit and regulatory agencies. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications: Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in a quantitative field, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field of study preferred. Working knowledge of emerging technologies and cloud based tools for AI and Generative AI development. In-depth knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements related to AI. In-depth knowledge and experience with risk policy frameworks; quality control / testing frameworks. Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience. Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth. Collaboration & team skills - In-depth. Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth. Influence skills - In-depth. Data driven decision making - In-depth. Compensation and Benefits: $72,500.00 - $134,500.00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
