The incumbent is responsible for assisting and performing quality control on the department’s credit, regulatory compliance, liquidity, operation, reputation and strategic risks, and ensuring they align with the Bank’s overall risk appetite level under the Bank’s Risk Governance Framework. S/he will assist and perform review of monthly and quarterly risk assessment data and reporting, conduct periodic internal control tests, and perform assignments directed from supervisor and management.

Job Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

Risk Management

• Assist and coordinate department to perform required assignments. Assignments include HO accounting self- assessment, deliverable to Second line department, training, and regulatory projects
• Assist and conduct ongoing and structured control testing on key procedural processes.
• Develop, document and implement test scripts, and identify any gaps and or deficiencies during the control test review
• Make recommendations for remediation and suggest areas for improvement
• Track outstanding remediation activity and ensure fulfillment on action plans
• Assist to perform review and timely deliverable of monthly data for accurate reporting. Analyze and evaluate reportable data. Determine and investigate variances during the review process as it may indicate quality control issues
• Attend mandatory training meetings; complete on-line mandatory training as assigned

Internal Audit

• Assist to follow up ensuring internal, external and Head Office audit requests meet deadline on the deliverables.

Projects

• Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor and management

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Commercial Lending, Banking, Financial Services required (experience in banking, back office operation/Loan process/and accounting Plus)
• Knowledge of workflow processes and related risks is required
• Excellent Microsoft Excel, Knowledge of SQL and VBA is a plus

The salary range for the Associate position is $42,000-$90,000. Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.
