Senior Vice President, Back-End Engineer

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Back-End Engineer to join our BNY Mellon Engineering team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, or Lake Mary, FL, - HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Design and develop scalable, back-end, data visualization and monitoring services using SaaS based technology.
• Work in an Agile methodology to provide expertise and share the best software development practices with the team.
• Collaborate with product owners, quality engineers and cross functional teams to provide solutions and solve design and architectural problems.
• Leverage existing open-source technology to meet business demands.
• Work on modernization of an accounting system that shapes the financial world.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 9-11 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial ervices industry is a plus
• At least 4 years of proven enterprise application experience with Java or Python
• Good knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Swagger
• Experience with web technologies and architecture:
  
  • micro-services
  • distributed cloud services (preferably Azure)
  • distributed data (Kafka)
  • Rest APIs
• Working knowledge of relational and in-memory databases: PostgreSQL, Redis

Nice to have:

• Investment industry knowledge
• Familiarity with Angular framework
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake
• CI/CD: Jenkins, Harness, Docker
