SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

The Help Desk Support Specialist will report under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer to support the Information Technology Department. This role will primarily assist with day-to-day activities of responding to service desk tickets, user onboarding/offboarding, hardware and software support, while ensuring a high level of service, support, and accuracy. As technology is ever evolving, this position will be responsible for making recommendations regarding operational efficiencies, displaying tact in communication, and applying or updating documented procedures. This position will involve working closely with departmental colleagues as well as directly engaging with internal clients at all levels of the organization. Salary commensurate with experience.

EDUCATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 1 year of experience working in Information Technology and/or tech support type role(s)

· English as a first language

· Permanent U.S. Citizen and no sponsorship requirements

· Ability to bend, reach, and stand, and lift up to 25 pounds on occasional basis.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation. Minimal and occasional travel to additional branch locations may be required.

· Regular and predictable attendance is required.

COMPETENCIES

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Office365) and software applications

· Understanding of computer systems, networks and IT fundamentals

· Knowledge of third-party risk/vendor management principles (i.e., FFIEC guidelines) a plus

· Demonstrated proactive problem-solving skills

· Excellent eye for detail

· Ability to work on site in East Memphis.

· Ability to complete work in a specified timeframe

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion

· Effective time management

· Problem-solving attitude

· Willingness to take initiative

· Strong organizational skills

· Learn and work well with both in teams and independently

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Will provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

· Will assist in monitoring network performance and security, identifying potential vulnerabilities or threats.

· Will participate in software and hardware upgrades and patches under the guidance of IT staff.

· Will assist in creating and updating technical documentation, manuals, and guides.

· Will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, etc.

· Will assist in inventory management.

· Will support IT projects, migrations, and implementations.

· Will learn and apply IT best practices, policies, and procedures within the organization.

· Other duties as assigned.
