Facilities Management Specialist duties / requirements:
Provide Facility Management Specialist support to the US Navy Bureau of Medicine & Surgery (BUMED) Headquarters and Regional staff for new construction, operations, maintenance and repair of facilities. Specific duties and requirements include:
Duties:
Provide engineering assistance to the site Facilities Management team.
Assist in the development of five-year maintenance action plans.
Determine project requirements.
Evaluate major items of equipment and systems to determine their condition and service life.
Develop statements of work, plans, specifications and cost estimates for projects.
Support the region, Facility Managers, and BUMED Headquarters.
Document and provide status reports for Facility Manager and Regional Manager.
Assist in administering procedures and practices concerning property facilities, utility systems, buildings and equipment requirements.
Coordinate with local installation Public Works, USACE, NAVFAC, DHA and/or other entities.
Serve as liaison for BUMED supported activities.
Travel required
Requirements:
Security Clearance Requirements: Secret (Tier 3 level investigation) Clearance or the ability to obtain an interim Tier 3 with subsequent favorable adjudication
Experience with Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE), Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), GFEBS system or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
5-10 Years of technical experience with Real Property Systems; Mechanical, Structural, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have the ability to travel
