Our team is currently looking for a full-time Inventory Associate! In this role you will stock utility rooms, answer phone calls, stock code carts, etc. This position is perfect for anyone interested in inventory, supply chain, or has freight experience.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday working 8:30am-5:00pm. Holiday rotations required and 2-3 weekends per year. Banner McKee Medical Center is a 132-bed, acute-care hospital in Loveland, Colo., a vibrant arts community located 40 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Our hospital offers an array of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, obstetrical, pediatric, orthopedic, surgical, heart, cancer, and critical care. The Banner McKee Cancer Center and Banner McKee Breast Center are among Northern Colorado's leading cancer diagnosis and treatment facilities. Banner McKee is also a Level III trauma center. We are the only hospital in the Rocky Mountain region to be designated an Epicenter for robotic-assisted gynecological surgery by Intuitive Surgical, the manufacturer of the daVinci surgical robot. Our physicians, nurses and other health care professionals can train on state-of-the-art computerized patient simulation mannequins in our simulation center. Banner McKee is accredited by The Joint Commission.
Position SummaryThis position provides supply receipt, delivery and inventory management services to an assigned area or department of the medical center or facility.
Core Functions
- Takes a daily inventory of assigned supply storage area and/or clinical department supplies (Par Carts), requisitions and restocks supplies to par levels. Rotates stock and maintains a clean and orderly storage area in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitors usage, creates utilization reports, consults with clinical supply liaison or appropriate department staff, recommends changes to inventory and par levels.
- Assists with the procurement of special supply needs and may assist assigned department with the procurement of equipment.
- Acts as a knowledge resource for clinical or other related staff in the area of supply methods and goods.
- Works independently under regular supervision. Follows defined procedures and guidelines. Makes decisions about inventory levels. Represents the interests of the organization when interfacing with vendors.
Requires accurate data entry and keyboarding skills, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, the ability to read and interpret supply requisitions and equipment directions. Must have demonstrated effective customer service skills. Positions in Food Service area must be able to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests as required.
Preferred QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Previous experience working with medical supplies or food supplies (as applicable) and/or hospital services is strongly preferred and may be required for some work assignments.
