BACKGROUND:

Banyan Treatment Centers is a growing, private equity-backed entity that provides nationwide addiction and mental health treatment programs. As an Accounting Supervisor for our network of multiple treatment centers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization. You will oversee all aspects of the full-cycle close, while also providing strategic guidance to support the achievement of our business objectives.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage monthly close, including reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage AP and AR close process.
• Oversee expense reimbursement and purchasing card platform.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing processes and controls.
• Manage ASC 842 software to ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Review contracts to assess ASC 842 and other accounting implications and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Preparation and review of financial statements, including prior period comparison and performance to budgets or forecasts.
• Manage tax requirements and filings for multiple legal entities.
• Ensure the suitability and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Work collaboratively with others (internally and externally) to achieve common objectives.
• Actively engages with all parties to ensure quality of data, communications, reports, and process improvement initiatives.
• Liaison for financial statement and 401k audits.
• Seeks out learning experiences and incorporates new knowledge into practice.
• Maintains flexibility and adaptability to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of full-cycle close experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Proficiency in accounting systems required, preferably Sage Intacct
• Experience with ASC 842
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to consistently meet reporting deadlines.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required)
• Master’s degree in accounting (Preferred)
• CPA (Preferred)
