The Clinical Staff Pharmacist II provides pharmaceutical care to Baptist Health patients of all ages through medication order review, preparation, dispensing, documentation, monitoring, patient counseling, and medication reconciliation. Collaborates with patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and fiscally responsible patient-centered care. The Clinical Pharmacist II interprets, reviews and processes medication orders, screens orders for appropriateness and intervenes as warranted. Works with physicians, care managers, and other clinical staff, as part of a medical care team focusing on patient outcomes, while maintaining cost. Additionally serves as a mentor and develops clinical skills of junior staff. Precepts pharmacy students, technician students in collaboration with the Pharmacy management team. Actively participates in developing and presenting educational topics, and staff development programs and assists in performance improvement projects, drug use evaluations, formulary reviews and research projects.
Estimated pay range for this position is $51.00 - $66.30 / hour depending on experience.

Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science required. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) preferred. Preferred progressive pharmaceutical care experience (or) Pharmacy Residency. Board of Pharmacy Specialty (BPS) preferred. PGY1=3 years and PGY2=2 additional years.
