Job Description:
Full-time, day shift
7:00a-7:00p
Job Description:
  • The Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary monitors and interprets telemetry patient's heart status and notifies nursing staff and providers of any dysrhythmias or abnormal findings and documents such in electronic medical record.
  • Will be cross-trained to perform Unit Secretary duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent is required, or higher.
  • Requires successful completion of Monitor Tech certification preferred within one year of hire.
  • Successful completion of basic arrhythmia course required within 3 months of hire.
  • BLS preferred upon hire; required within 90 days.
  • Must demonstration excellent communication, customer service, telephone, organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to use specialty equipment such as fax and computers is required.
  • Must be able to multiple tasks and handle stressful situations.
