Job Description:
- The Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary monitors and interprets telemetry patient's heart status and notifies nursing staff and providers of any dysrhythmias or abnormal findings and documents such in electronic medical record.
- Will be cross-trained to perform Unit Secretary duties as needed.
- High school graduate or equivalent is required, or higher.
- Requires successful completion of Monitor Tech certification preferred within one year of hire.
- Successful completion of basic arrhythmia course required within 3 months of hire.
- BLS preferred upon hire; required within 90 days.
- Must demonstration excellent communication, customer service, telephone, organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to use specialty equipment such as fax and computers is required.
- Must be able to multiple tasks and handle stressful situations.
- Tuition Assistance up to $6,000 annually
