The Central Sterile Services Technician shall be responsible for decontamination, cleaning, assembling, wrapping, and/or containerizing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment and their subsequent sterilization/sanitizing, through steam, gas, plasmac or other required methods. This position is also responsible for testing and reporting any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment, preparation and delivery of all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examinations, medical procedures, and medical carts. This position involves two separate areas of Central Sterile Services; Decontamination and Processing. This position may have additional duties assigned as needed. Description
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in medical supply, surgical instruments, and equipment preferred.Knowledge of communication skills, written and oral. Must have organizational, telephone and computer skills. Must be able to follow written, oral or electronic instructions.
