Job Description:
Hiring! LCSW for Baptist Health Hardin Psychiatric Unit
5 X 6.5 hours (M-F), first shift, 7:30a-2:00p
Job Description:
  • The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical social work services to patients and their families.
  • Counsels and provides crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker coaches patients on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provides therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes.
  • Requires a master's degree of social work (MSW).
  • Additionally, Licensed Clinical Social Worker typically reports to the head of a unit/department.
  • Requires a state license to practice clinical social work.
  • The Clinical Social Worker will work collaboratively as a part of our team.
  • The LCSW will see adults and lead groups.
  • The LCSW will conduct individual counseling sessions in the inpatient setting focusing on the following: enhancing coping skills of patient, providing diagnostic evaluation of psychosocial problems; defining treatment goals for alleviating defined problems; acknowledging and enhancing the dignity and self-worth of patient and family system; providing symptom relief; and evaluation of the patient/family grief response.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work (MSW) required, or higher.
  • Certification in Social Work in the state of Kentucky.
  • Current, unrestricted license (LCSW) in Kentucky required.
  • Must obtain BLS and Aegis Training within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of behavioral health, healthcare or related social work experience preferred.
