Summary: The Manager, Quality Data Program will serve as an internal resource and external liaison to software vendors with EHR quality data and regulatory programs. This individual shall lead software and clinical informatics projects to include, but not limited to, federal and state required data collection such as electronic Clinical Quality Measure (eCQM), Clinical Quality Measure/Core Measure, HEDIS, and required State reported data. The Manager will collect, analyze, interpret, and report data related to healthcare provider performance, quality and healthcare performance data utilizing their expertise in data science and healthcare reporting. The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine performance metrics, ensuring accuracy and integrity in the evaluation processes. Additionally, this individual will drive continuous improvement and will communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Manager will have administrative and liaison responsibilities related to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Direct Connect, and Joint Commission data requirements. This position requires a strong background in data analysis, proficiency in relevant software tools, electronic health record extraction, health information technology, and a deep understanding of healthcare quality assurance and regulatory reporting processes. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Description
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Healthcare Informatics, or related field required. Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Healthcare Informatics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in data analysis, with a focus on healthcare data or quality assurance processes required.
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports required.
  • Experience analyzing data and communicating results to business leaders required. Syntellis or other Clinical Analytics System Administration and Oracle Health EHR experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools with a proven ability to conduct in-depth analysis of healthcare provider performance data.
  • Knowledge of state and federal agency requirements for healthcare and hospitals
  • Possess a solid understanding of healthcare data standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes, ensuring accurate and meaningful interpretation of performance metrics.
  • Possess strong statistical skills to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and the ability to apply statistical methods to analyze and interpret healthcare data effectively.
  • Actively seek opportunities for self-improvement through self-awareness and feedback.
  • Ability to translate complex issues into manageable action plans (i.e., thoughts to action).
  • Ability to lead, manage and execute projects successfully.
