Working Hours: Position for Senior Radiology student, variable hours
Summary:
Performs a variety of radiographic procedures under supervision of registered technologist, responds to patient's safety, physical and mental needs, and provides quality images for interpretation.
Other information:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in second year of an approved radiography program, in good standing, and currently not on probation for any reason. Must maintain passing grade average in all courses.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: Must possess competency in components of radiology as appropriate and a basic understanding of computer operating systems.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: Current BLS.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent stressful conditions encountered in patient care and time management of patient load. Intermittent exposure to contagious disease and chemical disinfectants with protective measures provided. Job hazards encountered include needles, exposure to bodily fluids, bodily injury, electrical shock, mechanical failure, exposure to toxic chemicals, radioactive chemicals, radioactive areas and radiation with protective measures provided. Must be able to lift, pull/push, turn, move patients and similar movements that are required in the provision of patient care. Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
This job will be authorized 0.08 hours bi-weekly.
