Wilmington, DEAs a Barclays Credit Operations Specialist, you will have an exciting chance to accurately review new applications to identify potential credit/fraud risk and make judgmental lending decisions to approve applications while minimizing credit and fraud losses. Also, you will be responsible for providing quality service to all customers (both internal and external). What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for judgmentally decisioning new credit card applications using Barclay’s lending philosophy
Assessing credit/fraud risk on each application they decision
Making outbound calls as necessary to develop additional information to facilitate final disposition of applications
Being responsible for processing inbound calls from customers and/or other Barclay’s associates
Consistently meeting performance standards set by the department
Contributing ideas and recommendations for process improvements to the department or company
Working on management approved projects that will improve efficiency
Being responsible for identifying trends/issues on a daily basis and bringing to the attention of the management staff
Excellent written skills (spelling, logical thought processes and sentence construction, appropriate word choice)
Extremely customer-focused; positive, professional attitude
Intelligent, self-motivated, quick learner and detail oriented
Skills That Will Help You In The Role
College level education preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred
