Wilmington, DEAs a Barclays Vice President, Strategic Risk Transfer, you’ll be a part of the Corporate Development business. The CDO business manages deals, M&A activity, strategic risk transfer, and strategic analysis and business optimizations. You’ll be responsible for structuring and executing new strategic risk transfers, including asset analysis, transaction modelling, credit rating agency discussions, legal documentation, and internal/external governance. You’ll have opportunity to consistently collaborate and interact with senior business management. Overseeing execution of life-cycle events for the live strategic risk transfers, including credit quality monitoring, monthly performance, monthly reporting and periodic audit
Owning/ coordinating of management of existing Strategic Risk Transfers transactions
Being responsible for driving improvements and efficiencies of the post-execution management
Ensuring that all business activities are carried out in compliance with the firm wide, and business specific conduct, risk & control limits and expectations
Providing subject matter expertise on the impact of Strategic Risk Transfer activities across a number of key metrics (P&L, RWA, Balance Sheet, Liquidity & Capital)
Developing/ maintaining relationships across a broad range of stakeholders to ensure that the business receives the required levels of technical/ practical support to meet its goals
Taking responsibility for understanding complex ideas quickly and being able to communicate them to non-specialists clearly
Analysing large data sets and the impact of adding/removing/substituting assets to existing risk transfer arrangements or setting up such new structures
What We’re Looking For
Degree or equivalent experience, ideally with some Finance or Economics element
At least more than five years of structuring, risk transfer or securitization experience, ideally with an investment bank, investment fund or credit rating agency
Solid analytical skills, particularly ability to distill relevant information from large data sets
Ability to communicate complex transactions to a broad range of internal stakeholders, including senior management

Skills That Will Help You In The Role
Solid analytical and financial modelling capabilities with direct experience in credit card/ consumer businesses
Excellent oral and written skills
Solid Project Management Skills; proficient to advanced R and/or Python user
