Environment, Social and Governance AnalystNew YorkThis role is regulated by FINRA. As a Barclays Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Analyst, you will be responsible for spearheading sustainable investing research and thought leadership across Barclays research (equity, fixed income, macro) as a member of the global cross-asset ESG Team. This is an exciting opportunity to service Barclays’ clients through bespoke projects and contribute intellectually to team and department debates and discussions around markets and themes. Salary / Rate Minimum: 155,000 Salary / Rate Maximum: 225,000 The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. What will you be doing?
Being responsible for authoring and publishing reports on ESG topics
Supporting Barclays’ global research teams in integrating ESG considerations into analysts’ fundamental research
Leveraging subject matter expertise to partner and collaborate with research analysts across asset classes; co-publishing with research teams across all asset classes globally
Collaborating and communicating both within the ESG Team and across the research department to support a coherent and consistent approach to ESG integration and marketing
Developing and deepening client relationships through active marketing of research and organizing events
Taking responsibility for presenting views to key clients via meetings, phone calls and conferences
What We’re Looking For
Excellent analytical, verbal, written, project management, and presentation skills
Experience in financial analysis, either on the Strategy or Fundamental side
Interest in financial and policy implications of ESG
Ability and willingness to distill and explain complex sustainability topics
Skills That Will Help You In The Role
Excellent quantitative aptitude and qualitative reasoning as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Enthusiasm, energy, willingness to work in a global, fast-paced environment
Accuracy and timeliness and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter and ability to prioritize despite conflicting demands on time
Where will you be working?You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
