Job DescriptionBard Manufacturing Company, Inc. currently has an opening for a Human Resources Manager at our facility located in Madison, GA.
For 110 years, Bard Manufacturing Company has been a family owned and operated company, leading the HVAC industry in the modular, classroom, equipment shelter, and other light commercial markets. With production facilities in Ohio, Georgia, and Mexico, we service our customers both nationwide and internationally by designing and manufacturing cutting-edge engineered products.
Scope And ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Vice President of People and Culture, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for the implementation and administration of all human resources functions, and carries out policies and procedures relating to all phases of HR activities at the Madison, GA facility.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Provides support and guidance to management, staff, and production employees in regards to work-related issues, as well as complex, specialized, and sensitive issues that may arise.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive pay programs to ensure the Madison facility attracts and retains top talent. Participates in and administers compensation and benefits surveys.
  • Creates and administers personnel-related policies and procedures for the Madison facility.
  • Supervises HR department staff and provides training and direction as necessary.
  • Administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and recreation programs at the Madison facility.
  • Advises managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and harassment, and recommends changes as needed.
  • Plans, organizes, directs, controls or coordinates the personnel, training, and employee relations activities of the organization at the Madison facility.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, in accordance with company policy.
  • Directs administration of employees leaves of absence, such as FMLA.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Required ExperienceThe successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:
  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them where appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
