Bridge Inspection Team Lead

What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is looking for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader to work from one of ourTennessee offices . This engineer will supervise and perform structuralinspections on bridges and ancillary structures, serving as the Team Leader.The Team Leader is responsible for leading inspection teams andassisting in the successful completion of inspection/design projects.

• Supervise above water and underwater bridge andancillary design, inspection, and evaluations.
• Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on fieldand/or design issues or adaptations.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and assist inproposal preparation.
• Responsible for project schedules and timelycompletion of projects.
• Responsible for moderately difficult engineeringprojects in field or office in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Perform moderately difficult engineering computationsand estimates in designing engineering projects.
• Prepare complete engineering plans or reports.
• Direct and supervise the work of entry-levelengineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
• Coach field staff on the purpose and processes ofinspections and inspection techniques.
• Make independent decisions within a general framework.
• Use computer assisted engineering and design softwareand equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Providestechnical guidance on project scope, budgets, and schedules forassignments.
• SupportsPM providing technical leadership on various projects.
• Conductstechnical planning representing analysis, creating designs, preparingreports, and other various tasks.
• Designs acomplete project, system, component, or process.
• Reviewsand may prepare complete project documents for conformity and projectassurance.
• Influencesstakeholders and manages stakeholder relationships within and outsideBarge.
• Directson-site visits to monitor progress of project.
• DirectsCADD technicians in preparation of project plans.
• Performsother duties as requested.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor'sdegree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university and aminimum of 4 to 5 years of bridge or ancillary structure inspectionexperience.
• Musthave passed the NHI/FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course.
• Engineer-In-Training(E.I.T) required
• ProfessionalEngineer (P.E.) required
• NICETcertification preferred
• Validdriver's license
