Barn8 is a farm-to-table restaurant located on historic Hermitage Farm. We are looking for a positive, hard working individual to join our restaurant team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage online and call-in reservations.
• Accept phone calls and answer simple restaurant related questions.
• Warmly greet and seat guests according to seating requests and floor plan assignments.
• Assist guests with carry-out orders and retail purchases.
• Maintain the tidiness of front entryway and restrooms during service.
• Complete simple cleaning assignments such as sweeping floors, cleaning windows, taking out trash, etc.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry natural conversations with guests in a professional manner.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude during all guest interactions.
• Experience operating restaurant reservation software and restaurant POS software is desired, but not required for this position.
• Restaurant experience at any capacity is desired, but not required for this position.

Additional Information:
Barn8 Restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday from 5pm - 10pm, and Sundays from 4pm - 9pm. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Shifts typically start between 3:30pm-5pm Wednesday through Saturday, 2:30pm-4pm on Sundays. When working as a host, employees earn their hourly rate as well as any tips given for carry-out orders and retail purchases. Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
