Barnes, Dennig & Co., Ltd. is Hiring an Audit Staff Associate / Full-Time Summer/Fall 2023 - Indianapolis, IN Near Indianapolis, IN

Barnes Dennig Assurance Services – Audit Staff Associate
Build a Brighter Future – Together, with Barnes Dennig Assurance. As Assurance professionals, we assist our clients in ensuring a higher level of financial reporting, providing a stronger, more secure lending and funding relationship allowing leverage to build their business and further their mission.
Our Assurance professionals are rooted in financial management – keeping track of the numbers that get our clients to the bottom line. We work daily to provide exceptional client service auditing client financials, their transactions and their internal controls, while executing audit procedures of risk assessment and the responsiveness of audit procedures reactive to those risks.
As an Audit Staff Associate, you want to take all that hard work and time you’ve invested during school and put it to use. You want to actually see what goes into partnering with clients and transforming their business. You will immediately begin building relationships with clients and work directly with them to provide an independent viewpoint of their data to create a robust picture providing them significant insights. In our team environment, you can ask questions and apply your ideas to real client issues. You will do meaningful work — developing and using your accounting skills to help not-for-profits fulfill their missions or build success for companies in our other primary areas of practice. Along the way, you’ll notice Barnes Dennig’s signature talent: seeing beyond the numbers. This means thinking strategically, and above all, putting people first.
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Master of Science in Accounting Degree (undergraduate degree in Accounting preferred)
  • An interest in all aspects of Audit and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting by meeting CPA minimum eligibility requirements
  • Strong academic qualifications
  • Relevant work experience such as: internships, previous part-time and/or on-campus employment, etc.
  • Strong skillset as it relates to: Leadership, customer service, verbal and written communication, organization, etc.
  • Ability to: interact with all levels inside and outside the organization, take initiative, anticipate problems and formulate resolutions, exercise good judgment/decision making, prioritize and multi-task, work independently, etc.
As one of the leading Certified Public Accounting and business consulting firms in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, serving closely held, growth-driven companies to achieve financial success with innovative ideas, personal attention and global resources, Barnes Dennig offers a strong compensation and benefits program, top technical leadership training, a mentor program, an Emerging Professional's network, a Women's Initiative, a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, along with driving many philanthropic ventures, including an annual community outreach day, etc.
Known for being a unique firm, we have received numerous awards and recognition for our culture, talent, and service, including being named a Top Workplace, a Best Places to Work and a recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan Award for workplace flexibility.
