Core Responsibilities: 

• Organize and maintain tool storage areas, racking, and shadow boards.
• Update and maintain tool location in software system(s)
• Conduct and support tooling audits.
• Work with department to identify and dispose of obsolete tooling.
• Identify daily tooling needs for departments.
• Deliver and retrieve tools as required to support departments.
• Identify and report worn or damaged tooling.
• Read and understand sequence planning, standard work and other work instructions before performing assigned work.
• Debur parts using a grinder.
• Set up jobs and precision shear per station plan and standard work instructions.
• Layout and measure square footage of materials and shear to correct dimensions.
• Ability to troubleshoot any parts that fail to meet station plan and or blueprint requirements.
• Ability to seek out and work with other departments support when needed.
• Record any required document inputs and charge operator time correctly.
• Perform all jobs safely as assigned per supervisor.
• Work within a team environment, providing constructive feedback as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• Precision Shear equipment experience preferred.
• Forklift operation
• Must have ability to use basic Microsoft Office programs and MRP/ERP skills preferred.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and have capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures while following written/verbal directions.
• Must be able to work safely around lifting devices and metal shearing equipment.
• Working knowledge of inspection tools.
• 3-5 years’ work experience inspecting production parts using blueprints & basic inspection equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledgeable in metal finishing

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
