BARNSCO is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative - Austin Area

Join our team at Barnsco as an Inside Sales Representative, where you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support for our concrete-related products. Reporting directly to the Customer Service Supervisor or Branch Manager, you will ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with product specifications and technical inquiries.
  • Prepare and deliver quotes for credit and cash customers.
  • Input rebar fabrication orders promptly and accurately.
  • Support Outside Sales Representatives with account management.
  • Obtain and confirm pricing and freight costs for customers.
  • Verify product availability and order status to facilitate timely deliveries.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Establish and maintain accounts for cash customers.
  • Coordinate with inventory and purchasing teams regarding product availability and specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the showroom environment.
  • Manage credits and returns as necessary.
  • Create special orders based on customer requirements.
  • Set up jobs and pricing according to established procedures.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on open orders and returns.
  • Conduct cycle counts as required and report findings to the Customer Service Supervisor.
  • Familiarize and proficiently use relevant software for daily tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Customer Service Supervisor or Branch Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in customer service.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • 1-3 years of sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
