Sumer 2024 ESY -Special Education Teacher

Qualifications:

Must have an appropriate MA educator’s certification – teacher, school
psychologist, or administrator; understanding of special education regulations; experience
educating students with disabilities; ability to communicate with parents, outside agencies, and
educators; able to coordinate services and collaborate with staff; complete other various duties,
for district ESY programs and weekly tutoring while in session under the direction of the ESY
Coordinator and/or Director of Special Education.

Responsible For:

Daily, day-to-day, on-site management of ESY summer programs; must be on-site and available by phone to coordinate
and problem solve with ESY teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, school nurses, and
transportation staff. Arrange for and assist with ESY school lunch if provided. Assist with
preparing spreadsheets / lists of students identified for ESY services in advance of summer
program. Assist in formation of student groupings and scheduling for services. Assist in
contacting parents via phone, email, and printed letter about details of ESY programming.

hours: flexible;

Summer hours: 15-20 hours per week based on schedule of program.

Salary: $55 per hour
