The Position:The IT Support Analyst III – WMSApps, reporting to the Manager-IT–Distribution Applications, is responsible for timely, accurate, customer service focused, and properly documented resolution of issues submitted to the IT Service Desk as they relate to current and future distribution applications.This position will be working on-site in Forney, Texas.The compensation range for this position is 90K-120K per year, depending on experience.The shift for this role is 7:00am- 4:00pm, Monday - Friday. Your Day-to-Day:Provides superior service to the Barrett Operational, BPO, Engineering, ICQA, Finance, HR, and other teams as it relates to problem resolution for issues submitted from the user community.Proactively creates and maintains professional documentation and artifacts within the Barrett service desk software.Responsible for Tier 3 tech support of WMSAPPS and related apps including but not limited to Synapse WMS, ProShip, NiceLabel, Smart BOL, Barrett Developed Applications, and others as identified.Consistently follows the Barrett playbook of instructions for issue resolution and escalation.Participates in the off hours on-call rotation supporting nationwide operations, primarily as a point of escalation for SME level resolution.Supports Handheld RF Hardware and related software, including Wavelink Avalanche, Wavelink ConnectPro, Wavelink Terminal Emulator, related Wavelink TE scripting, Supports and uses Barrett’s MDM software for configuration of devices.Resolves issues in a timely, accurate, and customer service focused manner – insisting the issue is properly documented in appropriate IT Service Desk Tools.Collects required documents from other departments for inclusion in IT service desk operations.Operational Subject Matter Expert of Synapse and other Distribution Applications as assigned, working hand in hand with both operations and Information Systems to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within operations by leveraging existing WMS functionality or leading initiatives to design, develop and deploy new functionality to support and drive operational efficiency and optimization.Works in conjunction with Information Technology management to manage systemic improvements as they occur, including but not limited to regression testing / UAT for new configurations and functionality, documentation and presentation of enhancements to operations and other resources, as well as deployment support during go-live phase.Engage effectively in a collaborative environment to resolve or assist resolution of time-sensitive issues, as well as function in a shared knowledge team setting with expectation of development and guidance of any non-senior members of the WMS applications team when applicable.Engagement and ownership of IT WMS applications support projects as needed.Serves as a senior level mentor to level I and level II team members across departments.Serve as a liaison between operations and customer resources to observe and identify issues or needs as they arise and design strategic planning to resolve or achieve the business need in a timely manner. ***This will occasionally require customer-facing engagement with their designated team members, who may or may not be traditional IT-based resources.This position is designated for facility level support and may be asked to travel frequently within the region throughout the day and/or on short notice off hours. Occasional travel outside of designated region to offsite IT staff meeting, customer meetings, and vendor events as required. Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Bring to the Table:Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or similar subject area. 8 years of Information Systems experience in Supply Chain / Third Party Logistics may be substituted for college degree.6-10 years of experience in Supply Chain management, Finance, and Business Management required. Relevant experience in a logistics setting is preferred.Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Direct experience supporting a Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) package, or a Tier 1 ERP system with an advanced WMS module.Direct experience in an industry with a strongly regulated or complex supply chain (E-Commerce/Direct to Consumer, Retail, Grocery, Medical, Automotive, etc.)Strong hands-on knowledge of supporting Supply Chain technologies & standards including UPC/GTINs, GS/UCC128 Labeling, VICS Bills of LadingStrong SQL Skills, Oracle Platform preferredExperience with a professional barcode creation suite, NiceLabel Experience preferredKnowledge of electronic interfacing methods (EDI, XML, Flat File, etc.) and related transport methods (EDI VAN, AS2, FTP, etc.) preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Bilingual Spanish/English preferred). Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Must demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and both verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well under pressure and problem solve across a variety of business processes. Strong analytical skills with an ability to present views in a convincing, creative, clear, and impactful manner.Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines.
