Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Operational Support Superintendent at our Carlin operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate active participation in the management of hydrology, de-watering, and site services to ensure that health and safety, environmental, production, cost and cash flow targets are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate active participation in the management of the site services operation team to ensure that health and safety, environmental, production, cost and cash flow targets are achieved.
• Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with other site divisions as well as other NGM Technical Services groups.
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff.
• Competence in site project evaluation, knowledge of well drilling, budgeting and planning for mine de-watering and hydrology, (Open Pit and Underground).
• Establish and refine operating strategies and procedures to ensure resources are utilized to their optimum extent
• Coordinate with business partners to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved SOW's, on time and within budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering and relevant experience required
• Six (6) years mining experience with four (4) in progressive supervisory or technical roles required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS Outlook) required
• Ability to deliver clear and concise information required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills required
• Sound understanding of safety and environmental requirements required
