Barrington Orthopedic Specialists' physicians have remained the premier orthopedic providers of the northwest Chicago suburbs, providing compassionate, individualized care for patients' bone, joint, and muscle injuries and conditions. We are looking for Director of Finance to join our team!
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Finance (DOF) to join our established Orthopedic Specialty practice, in Schaumburg Illinois. As the DOF you will play a vital role in managing our financial operations, including our internal accounting and revenue cycle. If you are a highly organized professional with a strong background in finance working in the medical industry, exposure to medical coding, E.H.R. systems, we want to hear from you
Reports to : Chief Executive Officer
Supervises : All practice financial and revenue cycle functions
What the Role Entails:
- Oversee financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop presentations and narrative descriptions, analysis findings and recommendations to the Audit and Finance Committee.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports with the assistance of our outside accounting firm.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Lead financial analysis, risk assessment, and performance evaluation to drive informed decision-making.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions in conjunction with the CEO.
- Manage the year-end audit process and ensure timely completion along with our outside accounting firm.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor a finance team of professionals and the group's revenue cycle manager.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred)
- Proven experience in financial management as well as in revenue cycle management in the medical industry.
- Strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
