Barstow Community Hospital is Hiring a Director of Medical Records ( H.I.M) Near Barstow, CA
Under the direction of the CFO, the medical records manager is responsible for performing a variety of specialized tasks, managing daily operations to include monitoring of all staff members work flow. Review department policies and procedures annually. Ensure the Unbilled Error report is worked daily and Unbilled goals are met. Communicate with physicians regarding any issues with chart completion. Monitor all History and Physical and operative reports daily. Report all findings in Medical Staff required meetings. Ensures compliance with all HIM regulatory requirements, acts as Facility Privacy Officer. Organize Medical Record audit review activity and report accurate data to appropriate committees. Compile and report monthly data to Corporate. Interact with physicians and hospital staff to ensure timely completion of medical records. Oversees PHIIP program and documentation activities, comply with corporate standards.
Education: Bachelor degree required
Experience: Previous medical records experience on manager level required. Computer skills, HMS, chart management systems, dictation and transcription systems, terminal digit filing system, alphabetical filing system. Office equipment: copiers, fax, PC, printers, scanner.
License and/or Certs: RHIT/RHIA Certification required
Wage range: $91,395 - $137,280 annual
